Matthew Mills has been a guitar instructor and performer in the Northern Virginia area since 1997. Matt began playing guitar at the age of fifteen after being blown away by Yngwie Malmsteen’s “Trilogy” album. Taking guitar very seriously, Matthew began practicing rigorously. He is regarded as one of the best “shredding” instructors in the area, and has been part of Contemporary Music Center since 2004.

Matthew has developed a level of virtuosity that is compelling the global  guitar community to  take notice. His enthusiastically lauded acoustic guitar playing has also gained respect and critical acclaim.

Influential Educator:

Matthew Mills is also an accomplished guitar instructor. Several of Matthew’s students are in touring bands and have released solo albums as well as winning numerous guitar competitions. One notable student being Jason Richardsonof the band “All Shall Perish” and Os“Born of Osiris”, is currently touring the United States and Europe with the band Chelsea Grin.
