Kirk Wilke is an experienced teacher, performer and conductor, equally qualified to teach beginners and advanced piano students. With over 35 years of private teaching experience, his most loved teaching experiences are with beginning young students. He finds it very fulfilling to take a student who has never played before and help him or her reach their full potential. Kirk believes in making the learning process fun.
Along with basic piano skills, Kirk promotes a strong foundation in music theory, ear training and sight reading.”I want my students to not just be piano players. I want them to become musicians”.
Education: Kirk holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music. McGill University, George Mason University and The Cleveland Institute of Music.
