I love music very much, and  my goal is encouraging students to have a passion and love of learning and performing music. I believe that no matter what level you are in life there is room for improvement and growth. As a musician and a teacher I’m always learning and striving to be better.  I want to teach and encourage my students to strive to be their very best.

I graduated from Shenandoah Conservatory of Music in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Instrumental Music, emphasis in Violin and Music Education. I also have done one year of graduate studies in violin performance at George Mason University, and also received a Performance Certificate for violin from Siena Institute of Music in Italy. I have played with numerous orchestras and have played solo in many concerts in the northern VA area. I currently play with the Manassas Symphony Orchestra.  In 2010, I have performed with the World Civic Orchestra in Carnegie Hall New York, and in 2011 Lincoln Center Alice Tully Hall New York. I also have performed chamber, solo, and orchestra music in Switzerland & Italy in the years of 2010 & 2012.

In 2008, I performed my first public solo recital, and in May 2009, I was featured in the “Prince William News and Messenger” for my performance in the Prince William County faculty recital. In 2010, I was interviewed in the Bull Run Observer about the importance of teaching strings in the public school systems. I also work in the public schools as an orchestra director, and give private violin lessons at Contemporary Music Center.

I’m a member of (ASTA) American Strings Teachers Association, (ACMP), Chamber music organization, (WMC) and (NAME) Music education organization for music teachers. I have served as violin Judge for All State Maryland Orchestra Senior Auditions and as adjudicator for the Solo & Ensemble Festival in Maryland and Virginia.
