Amanda Fish has been pursuing her passion in vocal performance for twelve years. She first experienced success in High School as a soloist and participant in choir at the district, state, and all-state levels. She continued her education at Elon University, where she earned a degree in Music with a concentration in Vocal Performance. While at Elon, she advanced to the regional level of the National Association of Teachers of Singing Competition and starred in multiple professional productions. Her most memorable roles include Barbarina in The Marriage of Figaro, La Chesca in Gianni Schicchi, Hansel in Hansel and Gretel, and Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. She participated in apprenticeship programs through the Signature Theatre, the American Singers Opera Project, and the Crittenden Opera Project. Amanda is now a noted presence in the local music scene, having recently performed with the Bel Cantanti Opera Company as well as the Loudon Lyric Opera Company. She enjoys teaching multiple genres, and uses her classical training to provide her students with confidence in their vocal ability and a strong technical music foundation. She believes that singing is first a foremost a form of self-expression, and maintains a creative and collaborative atmosphere in her lessons.
